One licence, every farm you advise.

SB Agronomist is a per-user licence for agronomists and advisors. It covers the day-to-day work you'd otherwise do in Gatekeeper, Telus (Greenlight/Muddy Boots) or Omnia, on any farm you have access to, whether or not that farm has been upgraded.

Who it's for

Advisors with farms that haven't upgraded

A licence lets you use some, though not all, of the features that would normally need the farm upgraded to SB Farm Max. So you can keep writing and sharing recommendations, and produce basic nutrient reports, for every client on your book. It's one cost across all your farms rather than a charge on each one.

How it sits with SB Farm Max

The two stack well together

On a farm that already has SB Farm Max, a licence adds nothing. That farm is fully unlocked for everyone with access to it. But a licence means you can carry on using Soil Benchmark with the farms that haven't signed up, and farms you're connected to get single modes at £150 rather than £200.

Compared with your current licence

Same day-to-day work, for less than you pay now

SB Agronomist covers what a Gatekeeper advisor licence covers: recommendations, tracking them as they're applied, costings and basic nutrient reports, with label, NVZ and RB209 checks built in. At £500 a year that's £185 to £450 less, for the same day-to-day work.

Onboarding

Thinking of moving off an older system?

A modern, cloud-based system
There's nothing to install - everything works online and syncs automatically between your devices, and between users. It's quick and easy to use, with a map-based interface.
Moving is less work than you think
Upload one export from your existing software for each year you want to bring across. We import cropping and operations straight in - it will feel like you've been on the platform for years!
You can actually get hold of us
Speak directly with the founders or the developers, not a call centre. We're UK-based, and can change things rapidly - raise something in the morning, we aim to have a fix out that day.
And we're 100% independent
We don't sell inputs, and we're not owned by an agronomy firm or a data company. We're not competing with you, not selling your data - just here to build great software for UK farms.

SB Agronomist covers the day-to-day work you do in a platform like Gatekeeper, Telus Farm Management (Greenlight/Muddy Boots), or Omnia. You can create and share fertiliser and spray recommendations, track them as they're applied on the farm, and build basic nutrient management reports, all on one licence. Label, NVZ and RB209 compliance checks are built in and alert you as you go.

Or just give us a ring and we'll do it with you
Book a 30 minute onboarding call and you'll get a real person, not a chatbot. We'll talk you through exporting your data out of your existing system, get it loaded in, and have you up and running on Soil Benchmark before the half hour is up. It really is that easy.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who needs an SB Agronomist licence?

The person writing and sharing recommendations - normally the agronomist or advisor. Anyone you send recommendations to pays nothing, whether that's the farmer, the sprayer operator or the bookkeeper, and recording what was actually applied is free for them too.

What's the difference between SB Agronomist and SB Farm Max?

SB Agronomist is bought per advisor and covers the day-to-day work across all your farms. SB Farm Max is bought per farm, per cropping year, and unlocks the full plans and exports on that farm for everyone with access to it. An SB Agronomist licence gives you some of what SB Farm Max gives, not all of it.

If my client's farm has SB Farm Max, do I still need a licence?

Not for that farm - it's fully unlocked for every user with access to it. A licence is worth it when you also advise farms that haven't upgraded.

Is there a limit on farms or hectares?

No. A licence covers every farm you have access to, with no hectarage limit, and there's never a charge for extra users on a farm.

I'm buying for a firm of agronomists. How does it work?

One licence per advisor. Where clients want the full plans, upgrade those farms - connected farms pay £150 per single mode rather than £200, and credits can be bought in bulk and spent as each farm needs them.

We're also very happy to arrange intro or catch-up sessions for your team, in person or online - call Tom on +44 7551 600270.

Which cropping years does an upgrade cover?

It depends which product you are talking about.

Our SB Agronomist subscription allows a user to create and share recommendations for all their farms, in any cropping year. It's a subscription, so while it is active, there is no limit on which cropping years you can work on.

SB Farm Max pays only for a single cropping year on a single farm. However, once you've paid, this is unlocked forever. If you wanted to download plans for a different cropping year, you would need to pay again to unlock that  year.

How does this compare to my existing farm software?

SB Agronomist is £500/year (or £49/month if you want to just try it out first) and covers the same day-to-day work as a Gatekeeper or Greenlight/Telus advisor licence (normally £685-£950/year).

For most advisors it therefore works out as at least 25% cheaper (as well as, hopefully, a lot easier to use and with much better support!)
